Ever since I was a young girl, I have always fancied accessories. I liked wearing earrings and necklaces. As I was growing up, my fondest with all sorts of jewelry continues to grow. By the time I had my own allowance, I would save money so that I can buy the unique earring, the nice necklace or whatever jewelry I would like to have. It is like an addiction that somehow makes me happy.
Aside from that, I also get to have a lot to choose from whenever I go out with my friends or on special occasions. But through the years, my collection has piled up already. Now, the bracelets are all mixed up with necklaces and my earrings. One day when I got home after school, I saw a jewelry organizer on my table. My mom gave it to me as a gift because she knows how much I love my collection. It really made me happy. |

Primarily, we love sandals for their simplicity. They are so convenient to put on or take off, and one loves to walk around wearing them. They offer the freedom of no-frills and are fuss-free. That thin line of demarcation between sandals and other types of footwear may be blurred, but the distinctive feature of simplicity and easy to use as associated with sandals makes them stand apart. Yet, their characteristic features don’t come in way of their creative designs.
Simplicity of use and design shouldn’t restrict their having some decorations once in a while. Why not have them more interesting by inclusion of simple accessories like beads, gems and studs!
One pattern that comes to immediate mind is to simply have gold studs with brown and white beading details on a simple chaco sandals. And, why not extend the idea a bit further and have beading extending to the ends of the straps of the sandal cuff that goes around the ankle! Did you by any chance have a look at the pair with a blanket stitch about the foot bed of the sandal making for an interesting contrasting detail? |
