Countries are lead by politicians and without leaders then a country would easily collapse because of the lack of proper guidance and decision making and also problem solving. In the United Kingdom there are many politicians and one of them is tony blair. He was the prime minister for a total of ten years in the United Kingdom. He served as prime minister from the year 1997 to the year 2007. In every country there is always the side that does not agree with the current government or even compete with the current leaders in power. These are the leaders of the opposition and tony blair was an opposition leader from 1994 to the year 1997. When he was prime minister he took over from John Major and Gordon Brown took over from him. As an opposition leader he took over from Margaret Beckett and John Major took over from him. Every leader in the United Kingdom has a party that they align themselves with and he is of the labour party. He has four children and he attended Oxford University and St John College.
