To Keep a Relationship, Couple Needs to Compromise

Mae and Vic were fighting just the other night. Vic wanted to see eminem perform live in a concert and he wanted Mae to go with him. But Mae wanted to be practical about it saying, Look, you can go but find someone else who to go with you - someone who's willing to pay for his own ticket. It will be a waste of money if you buy me a ticket, when we both know that I won't enjoy it. Vic feels rejected. He thinks that Mae is not getting the point - that all he wants is to spend some quality time with his girlfriend. He told Mae, You are always worried about money. You make me feel like you don't want to be with me. Mae listened to Vic as he continued to pour out his sentiments. Realizing that her boyfriend had a point, Mae finally said, I'm sorry but that's not my intention at all. All right then, if it makes you happy, then I'll go with you. It was only then that Vic smiled again. Now, all is well.
